Bandstolsvägen especially is probably the worst place in Uppsala to live, if you want as little gang activity as possible. I grew up in Gottsunda, it's both not as bad and as bad as you heard. Sala Backe or Gränby will be fine for you, normal places for any town. There are some areas in Gränby where some bad apples live, but nothing really
After living in Uppsala for almost a year, I decided to share my 14 reasons why Uppsala, Sweden is the best place to study abroad! 1. Weather. The number one question I was asked by the Swedes was if I saw a celebrity in Los Angeles. Iâd humbly and bashfully respond âyesâ, only to list the endless spottings, stalkings and single hook up

The hottest day (since 1947) in Uppsala was 34.4 degrees (measured in 2018). Hotter than 32 degrees is rare. A typical summer is around 25-30. OTOH our buildings are made to keep heat in, and AC is rare in homes, so 25 degrees in Sweden can sometimes be much worse than 38 degrees in a stone house in Greece

5. Bay of Plenty. The Bay of Plenty is a region located on the east coast of New Zealandâs North Island. The region is known for its beautiful beaches and its warm climate. However, the cost of living in the Bay of Plenty is quite high, and it can be difficult to find work.
A quick search showed that the have roughly the same number of students enrolled. 47,700 for Lund in 2013 and 41,470 for Uppsala in 2015, so Lund is even larger enrollment-wise. Edit: Just realized you probably meant with regards to population/size (Lund has a population of ~90k, so practically half the city are students, and Uppsala ~170k).

It is also fairly cheap to live in Gottsunda. The downside that you might read about is that it is a messy part of town at times.
